With an office in USA and Vietnam, I have had the privilege to spend a significant time in each country every year. And I came to know of Saigon Children, run by a British expat named Damien. Their mission, which resonates well w/ our company, is to:
enable disadvantaged children and young adults in Vietnam to reach their full potential through receiving a quality education relevant to their needs
The Covid pandemic has shown Vietnam is still lacking severely in its social security policies, especially those targeted at the fringe population. Consequently, thousands of children are at risk (of dropping out of school or missing basic necessities like food and housing). In response, Saigon Children started a backpack campaign that has seen tremendous response from the local community, bringing in-time relief to those in dire need.
Black Gibbon is proud to be a financial donor to Saigon Children and will continue to support similar organizations in Vietnam.
