Blackgibbon is a newly created software firm that has a single focus. To:
- Identify areas of technological disruption that bring tremendous value to corporate America and startup clients.
- Provide high quality software talents/data annotators from Vietnam to that client.

Here is the profile of what we are looking for in a tech lead/PM
- Do you speak and write English and Vietnamese fluently?
- Have you worked at a FAANG company (Facebook, Apple, Amazon, Netflix, Google, etc) at least 5 years as a senior engineer or lead?
- Are you interested in making money on the side working part time as a tech project manager? Remotely?
- Are you motivated to mentor Vietnamese youth? And bring their software skills to the next level? And up your management skills?
- Are you willing to embrace hard problems? And finding innovative solutions for them?
We are building a software venture studio that is first of its kind. What does that mean?

What would you be doing?
- Spend 15 to 20 hours a week managing a team based in Vietnam.
- Manage clients' expectations (most of whom are in USA) .
- Architect software system so that is scalable, resilient and secure.
- Ensure project is delivered on time and below cost.
- Assist sales team in closing deal (by estimating cost, providing expert knowledge, etc).
When I was with Boston Consulting Group, Digital Ventures, I saw the value of getting in the beginning. Instead of waiting for clients to figure out the problems, we come in and help them strategize what the problems are and how they can be solved. So we are not a cost center, but a partner bringing value to our client's bottom line.

- A nonprofit looking to build a ML model that detects coffee crops in developing countries using satellite imagery. So Blackgibbon provides data annotation, data scientists and and ML/backend engineers.
- A dating app looking to improve their matching algorithm. So we annotate their users' profiles (with labels such as eye color, is he holding a puppy, etc).
- A major sporting league has tons of videos of matches. We annotate all the players in the video to prevent injury and predict lifetime value of that player.
- A large conglomerate has many divisions, one is lending, the other is ecommerce. We unlock their ecommerce data and predict whether a user's purchase history can predict default rate.
