Good morning Vietnam

News

It has been a month since I moved back to Vietnam. The plan is to be growing the local biz dev team for new North American projects and managing the dev team for existing projects more closely. Things are normal here as the Vietnamese government has sealed their borders shut. Companies are working on site. Everyone wears mask and follows proper social distancing protocols. Schools are open and teaching in class.  To be on the ground here vs USA feels really strange.

We moved the daily standup to evening time PST and the work progresses as normal. As tech companies go remote across the USA, we anticipate more demand from the region. I am more and more convinced the advantages of having:

  • an English speaking tech team in Vietnam optionally managed by SV tech lead
  • a 12hr timezone difference which enables continuously software dev cycle in its truest sense
  • a dynamic, low cost, highly educated and young workforce
  • a tech progressive government (who takes the pandemic seriously)

and will double down on our software consultancy business for 2021.

Hope you will join us on this exciting journey.
